Your initial visit to us may be the first of many and there is no rush – come and see us as many times as you need until you are happy with your decision
With your vision in mind, we will source and screen the diamonds or coloured gemstones and present you with a selection.
The beauty of a stone is both subjective and personal and we ask you initially to simply use your eyes. We believe that this is a very important part of choosing a diamond or gemstone rather than relying heavily on a certificate alone. Sometimes a stone plays with the light in a certain way; or it has a certain character that can not be explained by a classification. It simply draws you in. Often, by this measure alone, you will know it’s the one.
Discussing the design
Once you have decided upon the gemstone, we can then discuss the design. We will note the various elements that are important to you and suggest how they can be incorporated into the design.
Quote
With the basic design concept established, we will then provide you with a quotation for the piece. Sometimes our customers are undecided as to which metal they wish to have their piece made from, or there may be more than one stone being considered. We are happy to provide quotes for each variation to assist with the decision making process.
When you have made a decision and are happy to proceed, we ask for a 50% deposit to get started.
Design for review
Taking into account the design concept discussed and the various elements you wish to incorporate, we will present you with detailed design drawings. The drawings are 3-dimensional and provide multiple views. This way, there are no surprises and no room for misinterpretation, allowing you to proceed with confidence.
The design process can be as simple or intensive as you wish it to be. Our first drawings may be spot on and you may approve these immediately; otherwise you may wish to make a change or changes and we will happily incorporate these requests into the design.
Creating the piece
Once you are happy with the final design, the creation of the piece begins.
Our turnaround time is generally 4-6 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. If you require the piece in a shorter timeframe, please do enquire as we may be able to accommodate your requirements.
Ready to be worn and adorned
We will be in touch with you as soon as your special piece is ready for collection.
If a ring has been purchased as a surprise and you find it doesn’t fit perfectly, we provide a complimentary first resize. It’s important to note that a resize may not always be possible due the characteristics of the ring. Please check with us if you have any concerns about the ring size.
No geographical constraints
We have created pieces for customers who reside regionally, interstate and abroad. From the initial visit to meet with us and to either view a gemstone or discuss a design, the rest of the process can be conducted by email or phone. Once the piece is completed, we are able to send the piece to you.
